Review round up: They Who Cry Out Seek to be Heard

They Who Cry Out Seek to be Heard has been out for almost a month now and it has been getting some great reviews.

But what have people been saying? Well:

One review on Goodreads said:

I thought I’d give audiobooks another try, and this was a great re-introduction to the format. Brilliantly written and read/recorded, I was hooked from start to finish. Very quirky, dark and atmospheric stories. But I will never see googly craft eyes in the same way again…

A amazing piece feedback we had over twitter said they had listened to it three times!

And a review on The Sound of Seagulls blog even coined the term ‘Blackfordian’ to describe the unique way Troy takes you down one path and then springs the strangeness upon you.

If this sounds like horror, it isn’t: the story stays true to Blackford’s style in this collection of weird and captivatingly creepy. I won’t give away what Ballantine’s plan actually is and why he does it but suffice to say even when you think you’ve figured out the twist, Blackford appears behind you and slaps another surprise right in front of your face.

You can read the full review on The Sound of Seagulls blog.

They Who Cry Out Seek to be Heard is a brilliant collection and just perfect to listen to while commuting to work or relaxing in the sun. Why not give it a listen?
